Driving Directions to Hart Scientific from Salt Lake International Airport

There are three routes to Hart Scientific from the airport. All three of them end up with you going south on I-15 before exiting in American Fork, the town in which we happily spend our days. To get to I-15 Southbound from the airport, you have these three options:

You can take the Bangerter Highway south, which eventually intersects I-15. You can enter the Bangerter Highway just after exiting the airport. This is usually a slow route, since the Bangerter Highway is loaded with stoplights and it seems they’re usually red.

You can take I-80 Eastbound when you leave the airport and head straight east to I-15. This is the most direct route to I-15.

Lastly, you can take the route most of us locals use. Take I-80 Eastbound from the airport, then I-215 Southbound, which takes you to I-15. Here are the step-by-step instructions:

1) After exiting the airport, follow the signs to I-80 Eastbound.

2) Get on I-80 Eastbound and drive about 2 miles to I-215 Southbound.

3) Get on I-215 Southbound and drive about 11 miles to I-15.

4) Get on I-15 Southbound and drive about 23 miles to Exit 276.

5) Take Exit 276 and turn left at the stop sign. This takes you back over I-15 (“the” 15 if you’re from California).

6) Just 1/4-mile from the exit, is a stoplight next to a Taco Bell. Turn right at the light.

7) You’re now on Utah Valley Drive, which winds through our business park. We’re the last building on the left.

Total driving time is about 50 minutes. (Slower during the usual rush hours.)
