The IO Toolkit is a Windows® application that detects and interfaces with Hart instruments using RS-232 communication. Currently supported instruments include the Model 1523 and 1524 Readouts.

The IO Toolkit software provides access to various features of the connected instrument. These features may include data available through the instruments menus. In addition the software provides easier access to features available only through the RS-232 interface. Specific features are dependant on the connected instrument.

In addition to the instrument specific features which may be available the software provides an RS-232 interface. This easy to use feature allows you to send and receive data over the serial port. Since the instrument is automatically detected by the software there is no additional communication setup to worry about.

IO Toolkit's features include…

• Downloading data logged to the instrument's memory

• Clearing the instrument logs

• Editing data tags used by the logs
• Resetting data tags to defaults
• Modifying probe settings
• Saving and opening probe configuration files

• Interfacing directly using RS-232 communication

The IO Toolkit software is free and ships with supported instruments.
